NEW PARENTS:

Looking for a league/team for your child, the OICYL offers many organizations that offer several teams for each of our separate age divisions. A Child can start as early as 4 yrs. old into our entry-level flag division and continue to play in the league all the way through our 11-year-old division. We use the current age cutoff date of May 1^st to determine which division he is qualified to play in. (Note: A child is always allowed to play up 1 age division if desired but never down. Those divisions are as follows:

• Flag Division – (4 yrs. & 5yrs old) (Can not turn 6 prior to May 1^st)
• 6u Tackle Division (Can not turn 7, before May 1^st)
• 7u Tackle Division (Can not turn 8, before May 1^st)
• 8u Tackle (Can not turn 9, before May 1^st)
• 9u Tackle Division (Can not turn 10, before May 1^st)
• 10u Tackle Division (Can not turn 11, before May 1^st)
• 11u – Tackle Division (Can not turn 12, before May 1^st unless the 6^th grade exception rule applies – check league rules for additional information on this exception)

Step 1: Determine which OICYL age division your child qualifies to participate under

Step 2: Go to the Organization section under the League Info tab

Step 3: Find/Contact the organization that offers the age division team &/or practice location that suites your needs. 

Step 4: Not sure of a organization or team, then fill out the form below & the league will help you find one that suites your needs.

NEW COACHES:

Looking to start a team or enter your existing team as a newcomer to the league. 

Step 1: Go to the Coach’s section & click on age verification & follow the instructions provided by Sports Thread (who is our league partner providing new team entry establishment & the player age verification process)

Step 2: Once you have created your team, Sports Thread will send you a link to the email you provide to send out to your parents/players to begin your player age verification process. The age verification process will cost each player on your team $15 & is good for 1 yr.

Step 3: Once you have established your team & solidified how many players on your roster (according to the final age verified roster, the final step is to go the LEAGUE FEE Pay section under the same coach’s tab to pay your OICYL League fees: Prior to August 1^st of the current season, that early-bird fee amount is $70 dollars/player. On August 1^st of the current season the regular league cost is $85 dollars/player.

Step 4: Sports Thread will also send out to the head coach a team coaches badge link to send to staff. 5 Coaches & 1 Sec/Team mom will be given badges at a cost of $5/coach.

Note: Any Roster size over 22 is allowed for up to 3 scholarship players at no league fee cost. 

               Example 1: Team has 23 players = pay for 22 players & 1 player is scholarship

               Example 2: Team has 28 players = pay for 25 players & 3 players are scholarship
